Do JM Flooring come out and measure up?
Sub floor preparation is key to ensuring a perfectly laid LVT floor. Our experienced fitters will come out to your home to measure up and assess what type of prep work is required and this will all be included in your quote. Whether it requires self-levelling screed or plywood, we carry out all types of sub floor preparation work.
Does JM Flooring have their own fitters?
Yes, all of our fitters are full time employed, only work for us and are fully qualified.
Do you offer a fitting service?
We offer a fitting service for all products that we sell carried out by our in house qualified team of fitters. We can fit carpets, vinyls, laminates, LVT’s and carry out all sub floor preparation work.
Can you uplift my old carpets and flooring and take them away?
Yes, we offer a full service that includes uplifting and disposing of any existing flooring if required.
Do I need to book an appointment before coming to your showroom?
No appointment is necessary. Pop in anytime to have a look at our samples and we will be happy to help and answer any queries you have. Our opening hours are weekdays 10-4.30pm, Saturdays 10-2pm (closed on Sunday’s and Wednesday’s)

What areas of the house can we fit LVT flooring?
LVT is suitable for all rooms in the house, even Kitchens and bathrooms as it is water and slip resistant.
Can LVT be fitted on top of underfloor heating?
LVT is perfect for under floor heating as long as the manufacturers recommendations are followed and the correct products are used in installation. It is therefore important to ensure that any installation is carried out by a qualified fitter to validate your warranty.

What is LVT flooring?
LVT, or Luxury Vinyl Tile, is a versatile and durable flooring option that mimics the appearance of natural materials like wood, stone, or ceramic tile while offering practical benefits such as water resistance and low maintenance. LVT is on of the most popular flooring choices on the market today.
Can I use a steam mop on my LVT flooring?
Most manufacturers recommend that steam cleaners are not used on their LVT floors. This is due to the risk of the adhesive reacting to the high temperatures of the steam and could cause the flooring to move.
What is the difference between twist and saxony carpets?
The main differences between these types of carpets is the texture, appearance and durability due to the way the carpet fibres are treated and twisted. Twist pile carpets gives a slightly coarse and shorter pile making it a more practical type of carpet for high traffic areas. Saxony carpets have a smooth plush appearance which gives a more luxurious look and feel to the carpet.
